Made it to Amicalola State Park- got a classic picture under the arch and am “roughing it” at a hotel tonight. Hard to believe my brother started his new job today and I have decided to follow little white rectangles up the east coast.

I have always been inspired by trails, always been curious about where the next turn will take me. I have wanted to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail since I was ten years old and decided this is the year. My definition: to hike the Appalachian Trail in its entirety in one calendar year.
